Alberta Takes Home Bronze in Men’s Hockey

Alberta 5—Ontario 3

(Halifax, N.S.) Alberta took home a medal in men’s hockey for the 6th straight Canada Winter Games after defeating Ontario 5-3 for the bronze medal.

Alberta erased a one goal deficit heading into the third period with 3 markers in the final 20 minutes of play. Torrin White led the way for Alberta with a pair of goals.

Ontario finished the competition in 4th place and out of a medal for the first time since 1999. 

Manitoba 3 — Saskatchewan 2 (Shootout)

(Dartmouth, N.S.) Manitoba beat prairie rival Saskatchewan 3-2 in a shootout to wrap up men’s hockey play in Dartmouth.

Manitoba earns 5th place while Saskatchewan will finish 6th.
