BC Wins Men’s Hockey Gold

British Columbia 7—Quebec 4

(Halifax, N.S.) In the largest attended sport event in Canada Winter Games history British Columbia beat Quebec 7-4 in front of a crowd of 9,234 at the Halifax Metro Centre.

Nic Petan had a 5 point night for B.C. while Curtis Lazar had a hat trick en route to finishing the tournament with 17 points and winning the scoring race. Anthony Duclair had a pair of points for Quebec. Shots in the game were 32 a piece with Jackson Whistle earning the win in net for B.C.

For B.C. it is their first gold medal win in men’s hockey since 1979.

9th: Prince Edward Island

8th: New Brunswick

7th: Nova Scotia

6th: Saskatchewan

5th: Manitoba

4th: Ontario

Bronze:  Alberta

Silver: Quebec

Gold: British Columbia
