All of the top seeds in Junior Male and Junior Female team events advanced from stage 1 of the round robin competition and still have an opportunity to play for the gold medal.
In the Junior Male team event, Ontario won group A beating both Saskatchewan and Newfoundland 3-0. Saskatchewan narrowly defeated Newfoundland and Labrador 3-2 to finish second in the group. Quebec won group B, beating PEI and Yukon 3-0. PEI finished second in the group by beating Yukon 3-0. In Group C, British Columbia advanced by beating both Nova Scotia and Nunavut 3-0 while Nova Scotia finshed second with a 3-0 win over Nunavut. Manitboa beat Alberta 3-0 to win group D.
Ontario will now play British Columbia and Quebec will play Manitoba. The winners of these team matches advance to the gold medal final. Bronze is yet to be determined.
