Daily Table Tennis Recap – Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles

The morning session consisted of placement matches for boys’ doubles, girls’ doubles and mixed doubles.

In the boys’ doubles, Alberta beat Nova Scotia 3-1 for the placement of 5th/6th.  Saskatchewan defeated Newfoundland and Labrador by a score of 3-2 in the 7th/8th placement match.  In the 9th/10th placement, PEI topped Yukon 3-0.  Nunavut finished 11th.  Ontario will play BC for the gold medal while Quebec plays Manitoba for the bronze.  The medal matches will take place Saturday, February 26th at 11:00 a.m.

In the girls’ doubles, Nova Scotia defeated Newfoundland and Labrador 3-1 to finish 7th.  Nunavut finished 8th while Newfoundland and Labrador finished 9th.  Alberta plays British Columbia for the gold and Ontario and Quebec playoff for the bronze.  The gold and bronze medal matches take place Saturday, February 26th at 10 a.m.

In the mixed doubles placement match, Manitoba beat PEI 3-1 to finish 7th.  PEI finished 8th.  Ontario and Alberta will play for the gold medal while British Columbia and Alberta will play for the bronze.  These medal matches will take place on Saturday, February 26th at noon.
